MSW INTERACTIVE DESIGNS LLC NAMED AS FINALIST IN TWO CATEGORIES
2004 STEVIE™ AWARDS FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS
The Stevies will be presented on October 22 in New York City
WASHINGTON, DC– September 27, 2004 – MSW Interactive Designs LLC (MSW-ID) was named a Finalist today in the Technology Innovator of the Year and Fastest Growing Company of the Year categories in The 2004 Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs.
The Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs, www.stevieawards/women, is a new national awards competition recognizing the accomplishments of women small business owners in the United States. The awards are produced by the creators of the prestigious American Business Awards, hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars” by the New York Post (September 22, 2002).
Winners will be announced on Friday, October 22 at the Marriott Marquis in New York City’s Times Square. The master of ceremonies will be Bill Rancic, spokesperson for Advanta which is sponsoring the awards and winner of the hit television show “The Apprentice.”
MSW-ID was selected as a finalist from more than 600 nominations from small companies in virtually every industry.
MSW-ID’s provides custom website design, hosting, and marketing services for more than 300 small businesses and operates Internet, Weddings and Retail Divisions. MSW-ID advanced to finalist in the Technology Innovator of the Year award by successfully combining two traditional uses of online technology (the Internet portal and the eCommerce storefront) to uniquely meet the needs of vendors and consumers in the niche wedding market. This innovative use of technology was part of a greater business expansion plan, which effectively lead to a more than 100% increase in gross sales during the award period, resulting in an additional finalist selection for Fastest Growing Company of the Year.
“MWS-ID strives to provide effective and affordable Internet solutions to small businesses and offers operational advice rooted in our own challenges and successes as a small business,” said Sandra Waggett, MSW-ID Owner and President. “I am thrilled to have been selected as a finalist in two categories for the Stevie Awards and to be a part of their efforts to promote female professionals and small business excellence.”
Advanta Corp. (NASDAQ: ADVNB; ADVNA) is the exclusive sponsor of The 2004 Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs, and has been committed to supporting the success of women in business for over 50 years.
